  1. I love to read fantasy. It allows me to look into a world I always wanted to, or see a world that I had never even considered could be real. There can be a story about a rubbery pirate trying to be king, a young boy who was bred for space travel, or a young boy and his shapeshifting dog helping people across the world. The possibilities are endless! It is also the medium I love writing in, I love seeing what kind of characters, concepts, or symbolisms I can come up with to form different narratives and a whole story. Since fantasy allows for infinite creative possibilities, there are so many ways and places to find inspiration for your own writing (I know I have), or find out how to tackle problems in your real life.  If I could go anywhere, I would honestly have to pick the world of Pokémon.  *spoiler alert* The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein is a drama from the unique perspective of the introspective dog, Enzo. Enzo belongs to the aspiring young racer Dennis (Denny) Smith who adopted Enzo from a farm when he was just a puppy and they have been best friends ever since. Enzo is a special dog who interprets the world around him; he believes that when he is ready after he dies, he will return as a human. However, Enzo cannot tell anyone and is limited to what a dog can do, for example, he cannot watch Denny's races in person, however, he watches recordings of Denny's races and learns a lot. As the two get older, Denny meets a girl named Eve, and the two fall in love, get married, and have a daughter named Zo ë. Eve and  Zo ë  enrich the lives of Denny and Enzo they all become a real family. I was debating whether TV and movies were too white or not and I was on the side of the ladder. I brought up three main posts. I argued that we already have many quality minority led movies, we have very financially successful and record breaking shows, and that the abundance of white led projects are actually very realistic. Th e movies I used for the first argument were: the witty and intelligent Trading Places, the beautiful and action packed Black Panther, and the masterpiece for  young children that is Avatar the last Airbender. For the second I used: the fastest renew in Netflix history One Piece, the widely watched and enjoyed Squid Game , and Sony Animation's golden child  Spider-Man Across the Sider-verse.   1. Who is your favorite narrator? What is your favorite narration? My favorite narrator is Holden Caufield  from The Catcher in the Rye .  2. Tell readers about the novel and the narration. The story details the young Holden Caufield across two days after he was kicked out of prep-school. The novel then describes his adventures and interactions in the city. All as he fights the phoniness  of the world.  3. Why is this your favorite? Why might others appreciate it as well? Holden has a unique perspective compared to the rest of characters in the novel, being more cynical   and nihilistic. This is a nice contrast compared to many young hopeful protagonists. 

  ** spoiler alert ** Mr . Penumbra’s 24-Hour Bookstore by Robin Sloan follows t he character Clay Jannon in his experience working at the titular character’s literature market . Clay is newly hired at Mr. Penumbra’s shop after seeing a wanted poster. Clay gets the job but mostly spends time sitting on his laptop designing a 3D model of the store and creating online advertisements for the st ore. They are largely unsuccessful but attract a girl named Kat Potente who doesn’t buy anything but becomes close with Clay. Through the few people that come into the store , he becomes aware of this tall bookshelf in the back of the store, he dubs the Wayback list . Clay’s intrigue gets the better of him and decides to take one of the logbooks and make a replica of it so he can get it scanned.
